You have some good reasons why trees should be logged and then you have some equally good reasons why not to cut trees down. I think that we should be able to cut down pine trees that have been planted for the purpose of building houses and paper for example. We have a housing shortage in New Zealand and it also provides jobs for a lot of people and families. As long as they replant the pine trees as they go, I really don't see a problem. I don't think that they should cut down native trees. These types of trees should only be used for things if they have fallen down naturally due to the weather or something. But again they should replant anything they remove from the forest. There would be so many families that would rely on logging for their survival. People that make furniture and factory workers would also need the trees so that they have work.
