What makes a Fairy Tale?

WALT: Identify features of a fairy tale and locate them in the library.

For this activity we had to find a fairy tale in our library. It took us a while to figure out where they are found in a library.  This is because first we looked in the fiction section because they are made up story however they are actually found in the non fiction section.
After that we had to make a google drawing that tells the reader what a makes a fairy tale. The main thing we had to include was: Where would you find a fairy tale using the Dewey decimal system and identifying features of a fairy tale.

I found this activity fun because we had to look around in the library instead of just looking up on your Chromebook.

Billy Goat Gruff

For this task we had to draw the setting map of the billy goat gruff. First we had to identify the different settings in the story, then we drew a map showing each of the settings. After this we had to create a key for our map to explain what all the locations in the story were and what order they came up.

I found this activity fun because you had to draw that map of your reading group story. For me this task was easy because you only had to draw the map and label the different parts.

Next time I would add more detail in my picture and get it more realistic.
