The Great Ape Conservation sounds like an amazing project! I really like how the FFI have recruited the local communities to help them protect and preserve these beautiful creatures. What are your thoughts on doing something similar here in New Zealand for one of our endangered animals? I think that sometimes people forget that this is their home too, so the more people we can educate about these kinds of issues and projects, and the more people we can enlist to help, the better for our environment and the animals that we share it with. What do you think?

Thanks for you helpful comment. I think every person with bush on their land should have traps to stop the pests. Another way that we could help animals stop getting endangered is that we (people) should stop thinking of us and start thinking of animals. I think that animals are important as humans. We need to try as hard as we can to stop these pests by setting traps.
Those are some really great ideas. It's wonderful that you have such a strong opinion on this matter - I think it's really important too. Hopefully, one day, something like this can be done here in New Zealand.
