This is a great blog post Millah, I like how you have chosen to present it. I also like the animals and plants you have chosen to save from extinction. Your background image is really colourful and matches your set up for your presentation! Why did you choose to set it up this way?
Good luck for the rest of the Summer Learning Journey!
Ola Katelynn! Thank for your kind comment! I chose to set it out this way so I knew exactly what phrase went with each of the names of the plants or animals.
I really like how all of your reasons for saving these animals have a personal connection to you and your family. How lucky you were to be able to feed dolphins! Did you do that at Sea World? I spent my Christmas and New Year holiday in the Bay of Islands (where I'm from) and took some friends out to one of the bigger islands. On our way out there we saw a big pod of dolphins with lots of little babies! They followed us, playing in the wake of the boat for ages! It was pretty special.
Well done on completing another beautifully presented activity. He whetu koe! :) (You're a star)
Thank you for your kind comment Mikey. :) You were very lucky to have dolphins follow you in the boat. Sometimes when we are at Le Bons Bay we get to go out on my uncle's boat and my cousins and I see lots of dolphins. When we fed the dolphins we did it at Sea World when I was 6.
It doesn't matter how many times I see dolphins, I always get super excited when I come across them. Where's Le Bons Bay? I don't think I've ever heard of it before. Wow! You got to feed dolphins?? How special! Did you get to swim with them too? I've always wanted to swim with dolphins. :)
I also love the hibiscus and tulip flower. They are in my top five flowers. I would have also included hydrangeas, frangipani and gerberas. Do you know what these look like? I am so pleased that you included Border Collies as where would we be without Blue (our dog)? Dolphins are such graceful creatures and so intelligent so I can see why you included them in your list. I love your reason for the Gorilla one! It is a terrible nickname but it really has stuck! Sorry about that!
Thanks for another comment on my blog! I know what hibiscus, tulip, hydrangeas and frangipani flowers look like but I don't what a gerbera looks like. After I write this comment I will go and look up what they look like because the name 'Gerberas' sounds cool. I can't think of what life would be without Blue, he is so cute (but very cheeky). I know that my nickname 'Millah Gorilla' has stuck but I don't really mind because I have had it a long time and I'm getting used to it.
