  1. Hi Millah

You are a great advertisement for Greymouth or Mawhera. I actually think Mawhera sounds better than Greymouth and wish that we were called this instead. What do you think?
We do live in a very beautiful place and are lucky with all of the amazing things we have to see and do here. Our bush walks and lakes are very beautiful. I was down at Lake Kaniere yesterday (boxing day) having a picnic with my family and it was a lovely day. There were so many boats on the lake with people water skiing and having fun.
We get lots of visitors because of the cycle trail which is really great. I have walked from Kumara to Greymouth but haven't done any further than that. Have you been on much of the track? Where have your been?
We are lucky that we don't have the traffic that they have in the cities. Imagine how long it would take to get to school if that was the case.

Well done Millah, I enjoyed reading all about our cool town.

    Until next time

    Allie :)

I really enjoy reading your writing. Your personal voice is very entertaining! I agree - having no traffic lights and not much traffic is definitely a bonus about living here in Greymouth. We are really lucky living in the middle of these two lakes, especially because your grandparents have a bach at Lake Kaniere and your great aunty and uncle have a bach at Lake Brunner. We get to go to both lakes quite often during the summer and enjoy the lakes so I am not surprised that you chose the lakes as one of the best things about Greymouth. Make sure you spell check your work before posting! I like how you have encouraged the readers to come to Greymouth! I wonder if you have convinced anyone yet?

    Love Mum
