Colour Poem

Colour Poem

Task: A poem about your favourite colour.
Express your feelings about a single colour with
analogies or similes or list nouns which are (or remind you of)
that colour. Another easy form is to use the
5 senses-looks like, sounds like, smells like, tastes like, feels like.

Yellow looks like fresh lemons from Poppa’s overflowing
lemon tree
Yellow sounds like Santa’s bells chiming on Christmas
Day
Yellow smells like butter popcorn as you walk into the
movies
Yellow feels like soft sunflower petals in the garden
Yellow tastes like melted butter over creamy mashed
potatoes
Yellow looks like a field of corn ready to get picked
Yellow sounds like a bee rushing back to the hive in time
Yellow feels like happiness when you make someone laugh
Yellow feels like running around in your togs on a hot
summer day
Yellow looks like emojis you send to your friends
Yellow tastes like scrambled eggs on a Saturday morning
Yellow looks like bright stars shining at night
Yellow smells like Colby cheese in your ham and cheese
sandwich
Yellow feels like sitting in front of the of the fire on a
winter's day
Yellow sounds like popcorn popping
