Quick Write

WALT: Write a interesting sentences to describe.

It was finally the day, he couldn't take it anymore. SICK, SAD and MISSING HIS FAMILY. The expression on his face showed he needed to go back to where he belonged. I knew I would miss him as the brown spots that looked like collage art, made me feel safe. He has amazing black eyes, long legs and a fluffy brown tail. He was getting too big for our house, he had eaten all the grass, and had nowhere warm to sleep. It is too tough for him and not fair. I wish I could keep him but his legs were too long, he had grown too big.

Obviously Mum said we couldn’t keep him. Mum said it was a long walk and I had to keep pulling him because he was so tired. In the distance I saw his Mum, Dad and his sisters and brothers waiting for him. I told him his family was waiting for him but then he looked even sadder.  He realised that he couldn’t have both of us. Just through the fog I could see the shadows of his family. I was about to cry and then…. I couldn't take it anymore I was making a lake of tears I was sooooo sad.
I had to climb on his back to untie the rope. This was the worst day of my life. I would never forget him, I would never replace him. Goodbye my old friend.

Today I finished my writing on a giraffe. We got a photo to write about, we could choose what type of writing we would like to do however we had to include some description. Here is my writing it was sort of hard to get started and think what might have happened before this photo however I like doing this writing. Here is the photo that we got to write about. I hope you like it, thanks Millah.

  1. Kia ora Millah.

Wow what a great piece of writing. You used a great variety of descriptive words. It was very well told and it was easy for me to imagine what was happening in the story. Great job. What was your favourite part about writing this story?

    Bye.
